France adopts watered-down junk food bill: «A small advance but an advance anyway»
The French National Assembly has voted unanimously to adopt a bill originally designed to take on junk food – but the law’s sponsors lamented the fact that it was significantly watered-down by a series of amendments.
The biggest change the new bill will usher is to make the colour-coded nutrition label mandatory for all advertisements.
