Energy Storage and Energy Grids

Renewable energies play an important role in the energy mix of the future. However, generation of renewable energies fluctuates. For example, with solar and wind power the amount of electricity fed into the grid varies based on the weather and the time of day.

4th International Workshop DynPower

The international workshop DynPOWER takes place every year in autumn and is organized by Dr. Rafael Segundo and Prof. Petr Korba. The international workshop is a free event that brings together an international panel of experts from industry and academia to debate and present what they are doing to overcome the future energy.

Core Area

Due to the constant demand for energy, IEFE is searching for economic and eco-friendly solutions to balance the delayed generation and use factor.

Here IEFE focuses on better integration of the fluctuating renewable energies in the energy supply. In the area of grids and storage we are also working on being able to increase the ratio of renewable energies among Switzerland's total energy use.
