Curriculum Energy and Environmental Engineering

The curriculum of your degree consists of different module types, which provide you with specialist knowledge, mathematical-scientific basics, practical experience as well as contextual knowledge from areas such as communication and business.

In the third year of study, depending on your interest, you can choose between three main areas and take the corresponding specialization and elective modules. Click on each module to learn more about choices, language of instruction and ECTS credits.

Students solve technical and numerical problems with MATLAB software, and prepare, analyse, present and document data. They visualise mathematical relationships, prepare graphics for documentation, plot and simulate systems with differential equations, and solve symbolic equation systems. // Teaching language: DE

CAD for EU

Students learn how to use a three-dimensional, architecture-oriented CAD system and apply it in practice. They take a look at heating and cooling load calculations based on this and also at pipe and duct planning. Transformation of socio-technical Systems

Students are enabled to think (self-)critically and embed technological and social science solutions in economic and social systems, to understand the challenges of the transformation of energy, mobility and resource systems and to substantiate these methodically and technically. // Teaching language: DE

Solar Technology Solar Power

The functional principles of solar cells and module technology are covered. Software tools are used in the engineering design of PV plants, starting with very basic simulation tools and progressing to commercial software tools in a project. Students learn the physical and technical fundamentals of AC circuit theory together with the frequency-dependent behavior of electrical circuits and networks. Analysis 3
