During the Energy and Environmental Engineering programme at the ZHAW School of Engineering, you will acquire the knowledge and specialised methods to develop, plan, evaluate and operate power-generation plants. The holistic and practice-relevant examination of sustainable energy concepts in the light of the conflicting interests presented by the economy, ecology and society takes centre stage. In your third year of study you will specialise in one of three focus areas.

In the "Renewable Thermal Energies" specialisation, you will be involved with thermal machines, energy-related systems, equipment components and entire systems. The training programme focuses on the following topics:
