Master of Advanced Studies MAS

Master's degree courses for continuing education represent a study performance of at least 60 credit points under the ECTS system, including a written dissertation. The qualification entitles the holder to bear the title "Master of Advanced Studies ZFH in (subject name)".

Note: A Master's degree course based on a Bachelor's degree course is known as a consecutive Master's. The ZHAW School of Engineering offers the Master of Science in Engineering.

The ZHAW School of Engineering also participates as a network partner in the MAS Automation Management offered by the FHNW.

In addition, the School of Engineering offers three international master’s degrees in cooperation with other universities and institutions: the Master of Science in Micro- and Nanotechnology (MAS), the Master of Engineering (MSE) in Packaging Technology and the continuing education Master’s degree (MAS) “European Rail Systems”.

Master of Engineering in Packaging Technology

By attending this postgraduate course, future executives and managers gain comprehensive knowledge of science, engineering, management and packaging technology, enabling them to work at professional level in the packaging industry in a global setting. The teachers are experts in research, teaching and corporate management from universities and the packaging industry. The degree course is offered as a joint venture with the International Packaging Institute IPI, the University of Applied Sciences of Konstanz, and the Stuttgart Media University.

4 semesters, as a part-time course for working professionals; language of instruction is English, qualification: Master of Engineering.
