Sustainability Safari with hängry foods

Stopping food waste by processing side streams into ready-to-eat menus - good idea, but what does it take to turn it into a sustainable business model? We will talk about this with hängry foods during a visit of the startup.

Today we will get to know hängry foods GmbH. The startup's goal is to reduce food waste and prove that delicious and healthy menus can be created from food that is currently not used in an industrial context. You will find out how the company became born and you’ll have the chance to talk to the hängry foods team at the apéro afterwards.

About hängry foods

Three food technology students from Wädenswil joined forces in 2021 to do something about the fact that one third of all food produced worldwide does not end up on our plates. They specialize in industrial by-products and food waste and transform good quality goods into delicious ready meals.

ZHAW Sustainability Safari

The Sustainability Safari provides insights into successful and sustainable start-ups and companies. We want to encourage you to develop and implement your own impact idea. The Sustainability Safari takes place within the framework of Impact Entrepreneurship, which is part of the ZHAW Sustainable Impact Program.

At a glance

Location

The event will take place directly at Technopark Winterthur at the hängry foods office in the Runway Startup Incubator: Technopark Winterthur, Technoparkstrasse 2, 8406 Winterthur. Arrival by public transport recommended (10 min walk from Winterthur train station). Assembly in front of the reception behind the main entrance of Technopark Winterthur.
