Contribution to the India Global Innovation Connect: Michael Kendzia speaks in Bengaluru
SML BSc International Management Program Director Michael Kendzia participated as a panel member in the second session of the India Global Innovation Connect (IGIC) conference in Bengaluru in early June.
The panel’s topic dealt with leveraging industry and academia partnerships across India to join the ranks of innovation leader countries.
The lesson from innovation leader countries was clear: No innovation leadership without strong R&D and no strong R&D without enough talent being created and without efficient industry-academia partnerships.
Michael Kendzia emphasized the importance of on-the-job training opportunities such as the apprenticeship system in Switzerland. In addition to that, India could benefit from Innosuisse projects, facilitating the implementation of knowledge transfer from academia to business partners.
