Artificial Mechanical Skin Models

The artificial skins developed during the project.

In this project we focus on the fabrication of an artificial conductive skin model for the testing of designed electrodes developed by the implementation partner. The designed artificial conductive skin models will be based on a multilayered configuration combining different stacking layers with respective functionalities: a first layer simulating the surface conductivity of the human skin and a second layer mimicking the mechanical softness of the human skin. Different conditions of use will be tested during the project (dry, wet, moist conditions). These conditions will be simulated by a skin model equivalent mimicking their conductivity. For each conditions, a particular model will be designed and fabricated by varying the numbers of stacking conductive layers.
