Ziele und Inhalt

Zielpublikum

The target participants are employees from food companies exporting to the USA, for example, from quality management or regulatory affairs. Other professionals are also welcome, for example attorneys needing an introduction to US food law.

No prior knowledge of US food law is required. The course is given in English; therefore, a good command of the English language is a prerequisite.

Ziele

The course provides a general introduction to US food regulation and then focuses on the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and its corresponding rules.

Inhalt

  • General introduction to US food law (an overview encompassing legal framework, main legal acts, key authorities, sources of information)
  • Selected areas of regulation: general food labelling requirements / food safety: overview of FSMA and related rules.

The course is offered online. This allows you to participate in an efficient way regardless of location. The prerequisite is functioning internet access and sound hardware (computer audio or headset). The access link and all necessary information will be sent to you in good time.
