FSAI publishes fermented plant-based product guidelines
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) publishes guidelines for the labelling and production of unpasteurised, fermented plant-based products following safety concerns.
The guidance note «Good Manufacturing Practices for the Production of Read-to-Eat Unpasteurized Fermented Plant-Based Products» adresses systematic non-compliance with EU and Irish food law identified in an FSAI survey and informs the industry on how best to conform with legal requirements.
