Courses of Study
The applied psychology course prepares students for various professions in healthcare, social services, education, the economic and administrative sectors, and in the areas of culture and communication.
We offer students programmes that allow them to engage actively and critically with their future professional roles. Students acquire academic, practical, and social competency as well as a well-thought-out ability to be assertive.
The degree programmes at the ZHAW School of Applied Psychology enjoy high acceptance, so that graduates have excellent professional opportunities in all fields of applied psychology.
With the Bologna Reform in Europe, universities of applied sciences and universities offer equivalent programmes for Bachelor's and Master's degrees. The degree programmes at universities of applied sciences provide students with concrete occupational qualifications on the basis of scientific knowledge. They are more action- and application-oriented than programmes at universities, and they are especially appropriate for students who wish to prepare themselves for concrete professional fields of work.
The degree programmes are a part of the Psychological Institute. Teachers and researchers are linked together in Sections, which facilitates the transfer of knowledge.
