BAUSIM2026

The Building Simulation Conference held in Switzerland for the first time

The 11th BauSIM Conference will be held in Zurich from 9th to 11th September 2026. The conference has been organised under the auspices of IBPSA-DACH since 2006 and takes place every two years.

The conference brings together experts from the field of building simulation and provides important impulses for the transformation of the building stock towards climate neutrality. Topics such as thermal comfort, indoor air quality, user behaviour, BIM-based planning tools and the integration of renewable energy systems will be covered thoroughly.

Special emphasis will be placed on the transfer of knowledge from academic research to practical implementation. The conference is therefore aimed not only at a specialist scientific audience, but also at planners and representatives of public authorities.

Deadlines

Deadline for full paper submissions: 1st June 2026

Notification of review results: 15th July 2026

Deadline for late news paper submissions: 15th July 2026

Deadline for final version submission: 15th August 2026

Submission of conference contributions

The submission deadline for abstracts expired on 28th February 2026. The submissions were evaluated by the Scientific Committee, and the authors were invited to submit their contributions (full papers) by 1st June 2026 via www.conftool.com/bausim2026. Authors are requested to use the appropriate templates:  Word (DOCX 728 kB) / LaTeX (ZIP 112 kB)

In the second round of the review process, a blind review will again determine whether the contributions are accepted as Scientific Papers or Technical Papers. Authors will be informed of the decision by 15th July 2026, including feedback for revision. The final version of the contribution must be submitted by 15th August 2026.

In addition, there is an opportunity to submit Late News Papers until July 15, 2026. These will be evaluated by the Conference Committee outside of the review process (evaluation criteria: novelty and suitability for the conference program).

The conference is currently planned with three parallel tracks. All full paper contributions may be presented as oral presentations. To promote exchange among all participants, a poster session is planned. Those who are interested in presenting their work as a poster, in addition to their oral presentation, may indicate this accordingly in the comments during paper submission.
