BAUSIM2026
The Building Simulation Conference held in Switzerland for the first time
The 11th BauSIM Conference will be held in Zurich from 9 to 11 September 2026. The conference has been organised under the auspices of IBPSA-DACH since 2006 and takes place every two years.
The conference brings together experts from the field of building simulation and provides important impulses for the transformation of the building stock towards climate neutrality. Topics such as thermal comfort, indoor air quality, user behaviour, BIM-based planning tools and the integration of renewable energy systems will be covered thoroughly.
Special emphasis will be placed on the transfer of knowledge from academic research to practical implementation. The conference is therefore aimed not only at a specialist scientific audience, but also at planners and representatives of public authorities.
Key topics
- Energy and environmental building simulation
Modelling and assessment of energy requirements, emissions and resource consumption over the life cycle - Indoor climate, comfort and user behaviour
Simulation of thermal comfort, air quality and dynamic user interactions - Neighbourhood and district simulation
Energy systems, load management and climate adaptation at urban level - Simulation and Building Information Modelling (BIM)
Integration of simulation models and measurement data into digital planning processes - Renewable energies and energy storage
System simulation for planning and optimising renewable energy supply - Validation, uncertainty and model calibration
Quality assurance, monitoring and comparison of simulation and reality - Practical application
Measures to improve the transfer of research results into real construction projects
