Medical Informatics Lab
The Medical Informatics Lab is currently being set up as part of the new Medical Informatics degree programme.
The laboratory will be used for regular practicals and courses and will serve as a practical introduction to methods and tools in medical informatics. As it is expanded, the lab will increasingly be used for project-based work, bachelor's theses and applied research.
The lab offers various networkable point-of-care devices to simulate the processes involved in patient-oriented medical diagnostics. It is also equipped with classic laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, plate readers and autoclaves, which are used, among other things, for research into new PoC diagnostic systems.
As in the other ICP laboratories, students are actively involved in ongoing research projects outside of lecture periods and gain early practical experience in real medical-technical issues.
