Bachelor's degree Aviation: Specialisations
Aviation is an extensive, technology-dominated subject area, which is why you will acquire the required scientific and specialist foundations during the first three semesters before expanding your knowledge from the fourth semester onward in Technical Engineering, Operational Engineering or as an airline transport pilot.
The following subjects form the focus of the Technical Engineering stream:
- Aircraft systems
- Aircraft mechanics
- Maintenance and Repairs
The "Operational Engineering" in-depth study programme focuses on the following topics:
- Security, safety and risk management
- Airport processes
- National and international aviation authorities
- Air transport economics
The Aviation degree programme can be combined with obtaining a license. This opportunity is unique in Switzerland and makes it possible to shorten the training period since the academic basis for the licensing theory is already provided in the Aviation degree programme.
The practical training is completed at partner companies during the holiday periods.
- This dual degree (Bachelor degree and license) will ideally prepare you to successfully start a career in aviation and also ensure you are capable of assuming additional responsibilities.
- Entry into the combined degree programme requires successful passing of the corresponding aptitude test. This can be completed during your studies or before you begin.
