NETZSCH LFA 467HT HyperFlash®

High Temperature - Laser Flash Analyzer for experimental determination of thermal diffusivity and heat conductivity (provided that the specific heat capacity has been determined additionally by DSC), as well as specific heat capacity (by comparing thermal conductivity with a reference sample)

Technical Specifications:

  • Light source: Xenon flash lamp (pulse energy up to 10 J/pulse)
  • Pulse widths: 10 to 1500 µs
  • Sensor: InSb IR detector with ZoomOptics system to eliminate signal distortion caused by the sample environment
  • Temperature range: Room temperature to 1250 °C, max. heating rate 50 K/min
  • Gas atmosphere: Inert (argon and nitrogen), vacuum (< 150 mbar), oxidizing
  • Calculation models: Modified Cape-Lehmann, Parker and Cowan, as well as 2- and 3-layer models
  • Correction models: Pulse length correction (thin, highly conductive materials), radiation correction (transparent/translucent samples), penetration correction (porous and rough materials)
  • Materials: metals, glass, ceramics, polymers, composites, as well as thin and highly conductive metal and polymer films (min. thickness 30 µm) with thermal conductivities ranging from 0.1 to 4000 W/(m·K); liquid and powdered samples are also possible
  • Sample geometry: circular disc with diameter 12.6mm (max. 12.7mm), thickness 1.5 mm to 2.5mm (thin films in composite form possible)
  • Standards: ASTM E1461, ASTM E2585, DIN EN 821-2, DIN 30905, ISO 22007-4, ISO 18755, ISO 13826
