Coesfeld Tear Fatigue Analyzer

Electrodynamic testing machine for dynamic crack propagation and fatigue tests, as well as static creep tests, with fully automated recording of the measurement cycles

Technical Specifications:

  • Dynamic drives (2 stroke-controlled electric linear motors)
    • Max. force: ±3.5 kN dynamic, ±2.1 kN static
    • Stroke profiles: Sine, Gaussian, user-defined
    • Stroke: ≤ 50 mm (shorter at high test frequencies) (Tolerance: ±1 µm)
    • Test frequency: 0.1 to 100 Hz
  • Force-controlled motors at each measurement position
    • Control for constant force on the specimen despite increasing strain
    • Max. force: 0.5 kN / 1 kN (5 motors/measurement positions each)
    • Stroke: ≤ 50 mm
  • Creep tests Preload: 0.5 kN / 1.0 kN per measurement position; 1.6 kN across 5 measurement positions
  • Crack propagation measurement using a controlled, movable infrared camera
  • Clamping distance: > 3 mm
  • Test modes: Cyclic crack propagation and fatigue tests, as well as static creep tests
  • Temperature chamber: -50 °C to 150 °C
  • To prevent fogging on the windshield, the double-glazed door can be pneumatically flushed
