The Economists reports on our research
Our work on perovskite memristors resonates in The Economist.
On the 2026 annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), held in Phoenix, AZ from February 12 to February 14, Wolfgang presented our work on perovskite memristors. It was part of the ERC session “Building Better Neural Networks with Perovskite”, a discussion panel organized and moderated by Balazs Pinter, a Project Advisor at the European Research Council. Wolfgang’s talk titled “Ions in Motion: Unveiling the Switching Secrets of Perovskite Memristors ” described our most recent findings on the switching processes in memristive devices, which might be used in neuromorphic computing. Whereas a scientific publication is on the way, The Economist already reports on the potential application of perovskites in neuromorphics in its current issue.
