Course Overview

Semester 1

• Foundations: Fundamentals of communication, approaches to cultural differences, intercultural conflicts and collaboration in intercultural teams.

Semester 2

• Project work in an intercultural context, participation in an online exchange project with students from a partner university or a stay abroad: video/podcast/reflection paper on ‘What skills did I develop?’
• Application: Reflecting on what has been learned and how it applies to future intercultural encounters.

Teaching Formats

Semester 1

• Five workshops (partly online)

Semester 2

• Work in an intercultural context, participation in an online project (with opening and closing sessions), or study abroad
• A final workshop

Eligibility

Available to all students of the School of Life Sciences and Facility Management.

Requirements

Successful completion of both assessments and participation in all face-to-face and online elements (In the event of illness or justified absence, a compensatory task is required.)

Assesments

• Reflection paper during semester 1
• A video, podcast, or reflection paper on 'Skills Developed' in semester 2
