Description
The creation of self-consumption communities is promoted in this project in the double sense. In three different pilot areas in Winterthur with existing buildings - commercial zone, mixed zone and residential area - the local companies and/or residents are to join forces in a double sense and share energy harvesting and services. 1. in the production and storage of solar energy (self-consumption communities) 2. e-vehicle(s) are shared (sharing, mobility as a service). This addresses two problems that are evident in Switzerland as part of the Energy Strategy 2050: 1. sluggish expansion of solar energy 2. high density of fossil-fueled, motorized individual transport.
