Our landscape is defined by the way it is used and changed, but conflicts of interest can arise between the different sectors of tourism and leisure, construction engineering, agriculture and nature and landscape conservation. Top-quality planning procedures are needed to identify practical solutions to these conflicts.

The Environmental Planning Research Group develops workable processes for landscape and ecological surveys and improvements, as well as delivering sustainable land use proposals and tools for the synthetic assessment of environmental interventions.
