Description
The Sight Guide team is a collaborative effort formed by experts from Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), ETH Zurich, and the University of Zurich. The team, led by Professors Alireza Darvishy, Hans Wernher van de Venn, Roland Siegwart, and Davide Scaramuzza, is dedicated to developing advanced assistive technologies for the visually impaired. The aim of this initiative is to transform the way visually impaired people interact with their environment and to showcase their innovations at the upcoming Vision Assistance Race at Cybathlon 2024.
This shared mission aims to tackle the daily challenges faced by blind individuals by developing practical and user-friendly technological solutions. The Cybathlon provides an excellent opportunity to test and showcase these technologies, promoting innovation, inclusivity, and practicality in assistive devices. Sight Guide is not just about competition; it's a commitment to a better future for the visually impaired, promising significant advances in assistive technology.
