Analyse der Integration von Umweltwirkungs-Messungen in die Bewertung von Lebensmittelstandards

In 2015, the NGOs PUSCH, WWF and others published a comparison
of food standards on the Swiss market in order to help consumers
make informed purchasing decisions. This comparison is based on a
multi-dimensional evaluation through indicators in environmental,
social and governance aspects (Herrmann et al., 2015). The goal of
this research project is to investigate how meaningful it is to
extend the 2015-evaluation of food standards with measurements of
their environmental impacts. Second, the goal is to analyse
existing methods of environmental impact assessment in the
agro-food sector and evaluate the potential and bar-riers for their
integration in the comparison of food standards.
The challenge is to improve the evaluation of environmental aspects in the comparisons with a sound method that gives meaningful results at reasonable costs.
