LEDCity is making a significant impact in the lighting industry with its sensor-controlled LED technology. This system is designed to reduce energy consumption in commercial buildings by up to 90%. But LEDCity's innovation extends beyond lighting. Their sensors also gather comprehensive data, including measurements of brightness, movement, humidity, and temperature. This data can be used to automate and optimize various building systems, such as ventilation or even security. This commitment to versatile, sustainable solutions highlights their role as a leader in green innovation.
LEDCity's remarkable journey in the lighting industry began with a visionary bachelor thesis by Patrik Deuss at ZHAW. Inspired by his research, Patrik partnered with Florian Gärtner to develop the LEDCity tube, laying the foundation for the establishment of LEDCity AG in 2017. With support from the Swiss Federal Office of Energy, they embarked on a mission to redefine lighting solutions and set new standards for energy efficiency. LEDCity's devotion to innovation is demonstrated by their academic beginnings, which opened the path for their ground-breaking contributions to the industry.

The Sustainability Safari takes place within the framework of Impact Entrepreneurship, which is part of the ZHAW Sustainable Impact Program.
