The ZHAW Centre for Artificial Intelligence has become Associate Member of the EU-funded Network for Excellence AI4Media: Artificial Intelligence for the Media and Society. Tha aim of AI4Media is to become a Centre of Excellence engaging a wide network of researchers across Europe and beyond, focusing on delivering the next generation of core AI advances and training to serve the Media sector, while ensuring that the European values of ethical and trustworthy AI are embedded in future AI deployments. This project gathers more than 30 partners from academia and industry across all Europe

The association with AI4Media, added to its active participation in the European networks CLAIRE and TAILOR attest of the strong involvement of the ZHAW Centre for Artificial Intelligence at the international level. Thanks to this new partnership, the Centre will be involved in events, funding calls, education activities, and opportunities for R&D collaboration. In turn, the CAI will contribute its expertise on applied natural language processing and computer vision to the strengthening of a solid European community on this field.
