Expertise and research interests
Niolyne is a Ph.D. candidate in an SNSF-funded research project hosted by the ZHAW Institute of Public Health and is currently writing her dissertation at the University of Fribourg. Her research focuses on the social embedding of sexual and gender minorities and how it informs about social capital and its relevance to subjective well-being in the context of experienced suicidality. Applying an intersectional and postcolonial perspective characterizes her academic practice and helps her innovate traditional theories to apply them to current complex social issues that influence well-being.
