The Purpose-Inside Lab, led by the Global Business Lab at the ZHAW International Management Institute, has secured Innosuisse funding of over CHF 1 million. The innovation project helps companies embed their corporate purpose in their strategy and make it measurable.

The Purpose-Inside Lab marks a major achievement for the ZHAW Department of International Business: With Innosuisse funding of over CHF 1 million, it has helped secure the largest grant in the department’s history. The innovation project brings research and practice together to help companies effectively connect their corporate purpose with strategy and business performance.

The project is led by the Global Business Lab at the ZHAW International Management Institute. Project partners include Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU), Deloitte Switzerland and /CROSSWALK/. Together with the industry partners Bank Cler, Clariant and Johnson & Johnson, they are developing and testing tools that enable companies to define their purpose clearly, embed it in their strategy and measure progress using meaningful performance indicators.

By combining scientific insights with real-world business challenges, the project contributes to advancing responsible and future-oriented corporate management, with both national and international impact.
