Dominique Ursprung was appointed as the new Managing Director of the Swiss-Japanese Chamber of Commerce (SJCC) in December 2015. He has been a member of the SJCC since 2007 and most recently headed its Alumni Association, an association of the graduates of the SJCC exchange program.
The SJCC is the only chamber of commerce in Switzerland to offer young university graduates the opportunity to gain on-site practical experience in Japan.
With the successful establishment of the SJCC Office at the SML International Management Institute, the Institute has also taken over the Secretariat for the Parliamentary Friendship Group Switzerland-Japan, which is chaired by National Councillor Elisabeth Schneider-Schneiter.
The SJCC sees itself primarily as a networking platform with regular events and selected speakers. Examples for 2016 include Sam Perry of Pictet Asset Management, London, and Yoshinori Nakata of the Bank of Japan.
