Decisions, Assessment, Risk and Evidence in Social Work (DARE)

The 8th Biennial International Symposium «DARE conference» will be held at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), Campus Toni-Areal, from Thursday 20th June to Friday 21st June 2024.

Important dates

After its successful run at Ulster University, Northern Ireland, for many years, we are excited to announce that the 2024 DARE conference now has a new location and will be held for the very first time in Zurich, Switzerland, at Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW).

  • Notification of acceptance: March 8, 2024
  • Registration opens: March 8, 2024
  • Early bird registration closes: April 12, 2024
  • Conference: June 20 and 21, 2024

This biennial DARE conference series brings together researchers, managers, educators, policy makers, regulators and experienced practitioners to share developments on the related topics of:

Aims

This biennial DARE conference series brings together academics, practitioners, and policy makers to share developments on the related topics of decision, assessment, risk and evidence in social work. It is intended that the conference will provide an opportunity to strengthen networks and launch new research and development of initiatives in social work. DARE aims to support the development of professional knowledge and skills for the benefit of clients, families and societies.

Plenary speakers

All plenary speakers will be announced by the beginning of December.

Call for abstracts

We invite researchers, scholars, practitioners, and students to submit abstracts for DARE 2024. Abstract submission deadline is 2 February 2024.
