Implementing COIL in Business School Curricula: Reflections from a Movetia-Funded Research Project
This webinar presents the results of a Movetia-supported Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) initiative in international management education. The project brought together students and faculty from ZHAW (Switzerland), LUMSA (Italy), Kyiv School of Economics (Ukraine), and Grenoble École de Management (France).
The joint COIL project, “Redefining Leadership in the Digital Age,” integrated cross-cultural collaboration into courses on strategy, leadership, and ethical decision-making in multicultural virtual teams. Through an immersive, role-based simulation, Swiss, Italian, and Ukrainian students engaged with real-world challenges of international management, including cultural differences, AI-driven strategic decision-making, and virtual teamwork.
During the webinar, the project team will present student learning outcomes, share participant experiences, and reflect on institutional lessons learned. The discussion will also explore how COIL can be sustainably embeddedinto international management curricula in the digital age.
