Wind Tunnel Campaign with Flexible Model

Ludovica Onofri manufactured and assembled three different wind tunnel models, which were tested for the first time in the wind tunnel of Rome University, "La Sapienza"

In cooperation with Prof. Dr. Pier Marzocca of RMIT Melbourne (pictured with Ludovica) and Prof. Giuliano Coppotelli of Sapienza University of Rome (in the second image), and their respective research groups, Ludovica Onofrideveloped three brand-new wind tunnel models. These were inspired by the PAZY wind tunnel model originally proposed by Prof. Raveh of Technion.

Ludovica designed and developed the models as part of her doctoral research, which focuses on experimental modal identification. The individual components of the models were manufactured at IMES over the past few months, with support from Hans-Werner Dyck.

Prof. Marzocca (Director of the Sir Lawrence Wackett Aerospace Research Centre, RMIT Melbourne) was visiting Sapienza University during the wind tunnel campaign and provided valuable input and suggestions.

Prof. Coppotelli serves as Ludovica's primary supervisor.
