Successful Start for International Week
From 7 to 9 April, the SML is again hosting its International Week, which this year has the theme “Success Factors in International Business”. Since Monday morning, various guest speakers, including business leaders and academics affiliated with our partner universities, have been giving talks on related topics.
Guest lecturers from Australia, Brazil, Columbia, France, Germany, Switzerland as well as the UK and the U.S., are speaking on various aspects of international business. One of the highlights of International Week will be an event on Wednesday evening - two weeks before the start of the World Cup - entitled “Focus on Brazil”. The event will offer insight into Brazil’s economic prospects as well as an overview of the economic characteristics of the country and its main local success factors. Another topic will be Swiss-Brazilian relations. Speakers include Igor Kipman, the Brazilian Ambassador to Switzerland and Alexander Koch, Deputy Head of Corporate Communications at FIFA.
