Holders of a federally recognized vocational baccalaureate combined with at least one year of basic vocational training in a profession related to the course of study are eligible to study.
For individuals with a non-technical vocational baccalaureate (all disciplines except TALS), we recommend enrolling in a preparatory course for all bachelor's degree program (see Pre-College).
Holders of a specialist baccalaureate are admitted with at least one year of working experience in a subject area related to the course of study.
Holders of a federal specialist certificate (professional examination) related to the course are admitted to the course.
Admitted are individuals with a high school diploma and work experience in a field related to the course of study. There are two ways to acquire work experience.
Candidates holding a school leaving certificate must provide evidence of completing a professional internship of at least 12 months before commencing a bachelor programme. If you lack this practical experience, the Youth2Engineers program offers you a entry level. You complete a two-month pre-study internship at the ZHAW School of Engineering, followed by a ten-month internship in a company.
