New Continuing Education Course: Communication & Negotiation Skills for Female Leaders

Strengthen your communication and negotiation skills in a targeted way: with research-based input, hands-on exercises, and innovative AI-supported simulations. The continuing education course will be offered in fall 2026 as a one-day intensive session in both German and English.

With the new course “Communication & Negotiation Skills for Female Leaders,” the Center for Executive Education at the ZHAW International Management Institute offers an intensive, one-day learning experience for women in or aspiring to leadership positions. The aim is to develop communication and negotiation skills in a focused way—confidently, collaboratively, and effectively.

The course combines academically grounded concepts with practical application: in realistic training scenarios, participants work with an AI avatar to practice challenging conversations and negotiations, receiving immediate feedback. This is complemented by reflection and exchange in a supportive learning environment (“safe space”).

A particular highlight is the involvement of Susanne Ruoff, former CEO of Swiss Post. Her extensive leadership experience provides valuable insights and inspiration for participants’ professional development.

The course is aimed at women with current or aspiring leadership responsibilities who wish to strengthen their communication skills in a targeted manner. The combination of input sessions, simulations, and group discussions ensures a dynamic and impactful learning experience.

The German-language course will take place on September 19, 2026, and the English-language course on November 7, 2026.
