Swiss Diversity Study 2026: How flexible are organisations in a diverse world of work?

The world of work is becoming more diverse – yet many organisational structures remain standardised. The Swiss Diversity Study 2026 explores how companies in Switzerland respond to the different life realities of employees. Leaders as well as HR and diversity professionals are invited to share their perspectives.

The demands placed on the workplace are changing: career paths, life situations and employee needs are becoming increasingly individual, while organisational processes and structures often continue to rely on standardised models. This creates new areas of tension, but also opportunities for the sustainable development of organisations.

Against this backdrop, the ZHAW Zurich Center for Sustainability Leadership is conducting the Swiss Diversity Study 2026 together with Swiss Diversity and BKW. This year’s study is titled “Flexible People, Rigid Systems? Work Realities at the Intersection of Organization and Individual.”

The study focuses on how organisations respond to different life realities, which organisational tensions arise as a result, and which approaches are perceived as future-proof. The findings aim to contribute to a better understanding of the future development of work and organisations in Switzerland.

Participation is aimed in particular at leaders and professionals working in HR and diversity. The survey takes around 10 minutes, is voluntary and anonymous, and can be paused and resumed at any time. It is available in German, French, Italian and English.
