Technologization and Digitalization in Swiss Residential and Nursing Homes (DigiAPHs)
Digital transformation opens up new opportunities for residential and nursing homes, but it also brings complex challenges for management and staff. The aim of this research project is to develop a practice-oriented tool that supports nursing home management across all three language regions of Switzerland in assessing their current position.

Description
Where do we stand today in terms of digitalization and technologization – and what next steps make sense?
The tool is intended to serve as a strategic decision-making basis: it should be applicable not only to operational management issues, but also to communication and discussions with boards of trustees and governing bodies.
The focus is not on technological innovation per se, but rather on the targeted, context-appropriate use of technological and digital solutions to increase efficiency, relieve staff, and ensure long-term sustainability – in small, medium, and large nursing homes across Switzerland and in all three language regions.
The client commissioning this project is CURAVIVA, the national industry association for service providers for older people.
