ZHAW robotics
ZHAW robotics combines research, innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration in the field of AI and robotics. Together, the group develops new technologies, tests possible applications and researches their impact on science, business and society.
At ZHAW, researchers from all departments work together on innovative issues related to AI and robotics. Their expertise ranges from technical developments and human-machine interaction to organizational and social aspects. The following overview shows the diversity of research groups working on various disciplines related to AI and robotics.
Robotics overview ZHAW
Focus Physical AI
One of the main focuses of ZHAW robotics is physical AI: with the help of a humanoid robot, new applications are being tested, interdisciplinary exchange is being promoted and socially relevant questions about the role of embodied intelligence are being discussed. This creates a space for interdisciplinary discussions and innovations.
ZHAW digital × Davos Tech Summit
The ZHAW is a co-initiator of the Davos Tech Summit and is actively involved in shaping the content of the event. The Davos Tech Summit brings together personalities from business, science, and politics to discuss the social, economic, and ethical implications of advanced robotics and physical AI.
For the first time, Davos will be transformed into a robot city where real-world applications can be experienced. This will be complemented by the conference program on July 2 and 3, which will focus on the built environment, robot economy, responsibility, and human experience – key topics for the future of intelligent, responsible technologies.
