Active Mobility Campaign at Lokstadt (ActiMo)
The “L5: Living Lab Lokstadt” project was launched in 2023. Workshops with residents and stakeholders were held to identify needs relating to sustainable lifestyles. The aim is to develop measures in a participatory manner to make active mobility (cycling, walking) more attractive.
Description
In 2023, the research project “L5: Living Lab Lokstadt – Long-Term Livability” was launched to promote sustainable lifestyles and well-being in the “Living Lab Lokstadt.” Since then, several workshops have been held with residents and various stakeholders in Lokstadt to gain insight into their needs and jointly develop ideas on how to promote sustainable lifestyles and the well-being of residents in Lokstadt. The unattractive conditions for active mobility in Lokstadt were repeatedly mentioned. From the residents' point of view, the current cycling infrastructure does not allow them to use their bikes safely, relaxed, and without much effort. For pedestrians, too, there are shortcomings in Lokstadt in terms of safety and attractiveness.
The ZHAW now wants to investigate what measures can be taken to make active mobility in Lokstadt more attractive and to encourage people in Lokstadt to use bicycles or walk more. The campaigns to promote active mobility will be developed and implemented in a participatory manner and will be specifically tailored to the lifestyles in Lokstadt in order to address them effectively.
