During adolescence, brains and lives change rapidly. We investigate how digital media practices—such as social media, messaging, gaming, and video—relate to mental health and the development of executive functions like attention, working memory, inhibition, and flexibility. For a balanced perspective, we consider risks as well as opportunities.
