During adolescence, brains and lives change rapidly. We investigate how digital media practices – such as social media, messaging, gaming, and video –relate to mental health and the development of executive functions like attention, working memory, inhibition, and flexibility. For a balanced perspective, we consider risks as well as opportunities.
