Description

Wassergeflüster is a project to develop a scenic city tour through Zurich that combines science, storytelling and artistic forms of communication. Its aim is to make the often invisible journey of our drinking water – from source to glass – tangible in a new way. Facts, stories and future challenges surrounding water are conveyed in surprising and vivid ways, opening up a fresh perspective on Zurich’s drinking water system.

The tour connects historical locations, unexpected scenes and interactive elements to create a multi-sensory experience. In doing so, it reveals how much knowledge, infrastructure and responsibility lie behind the water we use every day. The goal is to encourage a new perspective on this seemingly self-evident resource and make its importance for the city, the environment and the future more tangible.

Wassergeflüster invites people to see Zurich with new eyes – and to rediscover the water beneath our feet as a precious hidden treasure.
