The "Emerging Skills Insights" project aims to improve job matching and career guidance in Switzerland by leveraging advanced technologies and data analytics. This collaborative effort between JobCloud SA and ZHAW targets improvements in recruitment processes and labor market intelligence.

The most important innovations include human-machine interfaces, which aim to match the qualifications of jobseekers more precisely to the requirements of the market.

The project will develop a skill identification pipeline to extract and categorize skills from job ads using machine learning techniques, creating a detailed skills framework tailored to the Swiss job market. 

The impact for job seekers includes

  • reduced unemployment duration, and
  • personalized career guidance.
