This project aims to provide cost transparency for healthcare properties by analysing and consolidating benchmarking data from hospitals.
Description
In order to increase cost transparency of Swiss hospital real estate, the Benchmarking Club (BMC) was founded in 2023. The benchmark provides key figures on properties and offers an annual forum for cross-institutional exchange.
In this applied research project, the ZHAW is responsible for the BMC evaluations. The focus is on analysing the key figures for the year 2024. As part of the project, the data from the participating hospitals is consolidated and time series analyses are carried out for the first time.
Alongside this, the benchmark is being further developed . The project evaluates the potential for new key figures and examines the use of advanced analysis methods for data-driven decision support.
