Interdisciplinary and human-centered purpose-driven strategies for circular Life Science ecosystems – Strategic research collaboration with Alliance to Zero

Alliance to Zero, a non-profit membership association for globally active pharma and biotech supply chain companies, aims to facilitate the transition of the global pharma sector to compliance with net zero emissions in line with the goal of the Paris Climate Agreement. As a working group with commonly shared goals, Alliance to Zero engages in a research collaboration with the Global Business Lab at the International Management Institute (ZHAW School of Management and Law).

The two-year collaboration aims to build the foundations for joint academic and applied research and at the same time to create opportunities for Master thesis and applied business projects, empowering student teams to tackle real-world challenges. Focus areas include purpose-driven ecosystem management, new applications for recycled materials, business models for circularity, and creative approaches to embedding sustainability within the Life Science ecosystems.
