Further development of the ILC learner corpora for language acquisition research, teaching, and learner development

Building on the projects 'Förderung der allgemeinen Schreibkompetenz nach Lernenden-Profilen' and 'LeKoDe-CH: ein Schweizer DaF-/DaZ-Lernendenkorpus für die Spracherwerbsforschung, -didaktik und -förderung', this follow-up project will continue the compilation of the LeKoBe and LeKoDe-CH learner corpora at the Institute of Language Competence (ILC), exploring their potential applications in research and teaching. The following objectives are being pursued:

  1. Refining error annotation and annotating newly collected texts
  2. Optimisation of a search interface for both learner corpora
  3. Development of guidelines for handling learner data
  4. Use of LeKoBe and LeKoDe-CH in teaching activities
  5. Use of the corpora for research into acquisition phenomena
