Information for teenagers and young adults (project EARLY)

More and more young people feel mentally stressed. Between 2017 and 2022, the proportion of young women with moderate to high levels of psychological stress rose from 19% to 29%; among young men from 9.6% to 16.4%. But what are the reasons for this increase? And what helps young people to stay mentally healthy?
The international research project EARLY is looking for precisely these answers. In 14 countries, including Switzerland, the factors that influence young people's mental well-being are being investigated. To achieve this, 15 to 24-year-olds are being surveyed online. The Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) is responsible for the online survey in Switzerland.

Why should you take part in the online survey?

How does it work?

If you are between 15 and 24 years old and live in Switzerland, you can take part in the anonymous online survey. The survey takes about 45 - 60 minutes. Yes, that's long, but you can stop at any time and continue later. The questionnaire includes questions about your mental well-being, everyday stress, social support and other topics.

Participate and set an example for mental health!

Your participation is voluntary and the data will be analyzed in such a way that no one can identify who provided the answers.

Together, we can help to better understand and promote the mental health of young people.
