German for educators from refugee backgrounds
The project involves developing, delivering and evaluating a programme of German language courses for teachers from a refugee background who are seeking professional recognition in the Swiss education sector.
Description
On behalf of the ‘RILF’ project (Retraining and professional integration of teachers with refugee background), the Institute of Language Competence ZHAW is running German language courses aimed at levels C1 plus and C2 for teachers with a refugee background. In the courses, the participants develop language and communication skills required for a career in teaching in Switzerland. The project includes the development of course concepts and the academic evaluation of the programme.
