Feasibility Study for an AI-Driven Coaching System Supporting Long-Term Health Behaviour Change (AYON-CoachAI)

We investigate how movement, behavioural, and biometric data can be translated into personalised, evidence-based coaching interventions. The project establishes the scientific and technical foundation for adaptive AI coaching that supports sustained healthy behaviour.

Description

Many digital health solutions collect and visualise data but have only limited success in achieving sustainable behaviour change. Together with AYON, ZHAW therefore investigates the scientific and technical feasibility of an adaptive AI coaching system.

The central question is how movement, behavioural and biometric data can be translated into personalised, evidence-based coaching interventions.

To this end, evidence on long-term adherence, behaviour change, movement analysis and digital coaching will be systematically reviewed.

Relevant mechanisms, measurable signals and potential interventions will be structured, assessed and prioritised.
