The project has developed and tested methodological and technical foundations for structuring eCH standards in a modular and machine-readable form. These include concepts for dividing standards into reusable building blocks, describing, versioning and linking them, as well as initial approaches to representing dependencies and compatibilities between standards.

The resulting concepts, examples and technical artefacts are documented and continuously developed in the project’s public GitHub repository (see link below).

Description

In this joint project, eCH and ZHAW are exploring how existing eCH standards can be structured in a more modular, transparent and machine-readable way. The focus is on breaking down selected standards into meaningful and reusable building blocks and on defining how these can be clearly described, versioned and linked.

The aim is to make dependencies, overlaps and compatibilities between standards more transparent and to better support their further development.

At the same time, the project is testing new approaches to the collaborative maintenance and digital provision of standards, thereby laying the foundations for future applications such as interoperability analyses, knowledge graphs, and navigation and platform functions.
