Empowering stakeholders in school education for digitality (EnablEd)
The aim of the project EnablEd is to develop an empowerment model for school leaders that supports self-determined digital school development. In doing so, the project provides a practice-oriented contribution to school development in times of digital transformation and responds to ongoing educational policy changes in the Canton of Zurich.
Description
Digital transformation affects the school as a whole organization and poses particular challenges in staff development. In order to enable school staff to actively shape digital transformation, several elements are required: shared attitudes within the team, supportive school leadership, a common vision, and targeted communication.
So far, a systematic investigation of these factors has been lacking – and this is where the EnablEd project comes in. Using qualitative methods, it explores which competencies and attitudes foster a “culture of digitality” and how different groups of school actors can contribute to it.
The aim is to develop an empowerment model for school leaders that supports self-determined digital school development. In doing so, the project provides a practice-oriented contribution to school development in times of digital transformation and responds to ongoing educational policy changes in the Canton of Zurich.
