Education Initiative on Unconscious Bias in Health Care
The goal of this project is to raise awareness on the topic of unconscious bias in health care among faculty of medical and health care professions at Swiss universities.
Description
Objectives that contribute to the overarching goal are to:
- Assess the current state of implementation of the topic in the curricula and assess research activity.
- Collect examples of implementation and teaching material where the topic is currently addressed.
- Conduct a workshop with faculty of medical and health care professions to share good examples for integration of the topic into the curricula.
- Share materials for teaching and for further education.
- Assess to what extent the topic can be linked to or integrated in other overlapping topics such as culture sensitive health care or gender medicine.
