Participation of Children and Adolescents in Urban Planning and Construction Projects
In a research partnership between UNICEF Switzerland and Liechtenstein and the Institute for Diversity and Social Participation, current practices of child and youth involvement in planning and construction projects across all municipalities and cantons are being examined.
Description
In a research partnership between UNICEF Switzerland and Liechtenstein and the Institute for Diversity and Social Participation, the current state of child and youth participation in planning and construction projects across all municipalities and cantons is being assessed.
The study aims to capture current practices regarding forms, content, methods, frequency, planning phases, stakeholders, quality assurance, and other relevant aspects in all language regions of Switzerland and in Liechtenstein. This assessment serves as a foundation for UNICEF’s continued work in this thematic area.
In addition to a representative survey of all municipalities and cantons, in-depth expert interviews are conducted and analyzed to explore specific aspects and identify support needs for further developing child and youth participation.
